Acupuncture Shonishin is a Japanese acupuncture system used for
infants and children, from one month to often 10 years of age. Shonishin is a
non-invasive, non-needle and painless procedure. Shonishin involves tapping and
brushing along the meridians and applying light pressure to acupuncture points.
Shonishin is practical, cost-effective and produces spectacular results in many
common childhood diseases. Parents are strongly encouraged to participate in
the treatment of their children, both in practice and for follow through at
home. Diet and lifestyle recommendations are chosen for the childs
condition to assist in their healing, often decreasing the number of treatments
needed. Shonishin can be used for health maintenance and support, or for the
